How our service works

Septic Tank Installation Company is not an installer. We are a small, free service that helps rural households, landlords and people buying or selling homes off mains drainage find a firm to survey, replace or install a septic tank, treatment plant or drainage field, and this page explains exactly how that works.

  1. Send the site visit form

The property postcode, what is there now and where it drains, how many bedrooms it serves, why you are looking now, and the best way to reach you.

  2. We find a off-mains drainage installer

One that works in your area and does the kind of job you described: a replacement, a treatment plant, a drainage field or a survey.

  3. We tell you who it is

By email or phone, once we have found a suitable firm. Only when you say yes do we pass your details on, and only to that one firm.

  4. A site visit and a written price

The installer looks at the ground, the outlet and the access, then prices the work in writing. Any agreement is between you and them.

What we are not

We are not an installer, and no drainage firm with a similar name is linked to us. We do not survey, dig, supply tanks or treatment plants, empty systems or sign anything off with building control.

Promises we keep

  • We never charge you or ask for a deposit.
  • At most one firm ever sees your details, and only once you have said yes.
  • We do not price your job. Only an installer can, once they have seen the ground, the outlet and the access.
  • We do not put you on a mailing list.

Who pays for this

Our income is a fee the installer pays when we introduce you. Going ahead or not, it costs you nothing.

About our prices and guidance

Prices on these pages are typical ranges taken from UK trade price guides, dated to when we read them. Use them to budget; only an installer who has seen the ground can quote. Our notes on the general binding rules, SEPA and Natural Resources Wales registration and Building Regulations Part H are general guidance, not legal advice.

Ask for a site visit and prices

Three short steps: where the property is, what the system needs, and how to reach you. About two minutes.

A free matching service, not a off-mains drainage installer. We look for one who works in your area and name them to you first. Nothing is shared until you say yes.
